My favorite slab o' death from these guys. Caught the band live this past Monday and they were as solid as expected. A nice mix of old and new tracks with a tight, focused performance from all concerned. Luc Lemay, who is probably the friendliest guy in death metal, was nice enough to hang out after the show and talk to fans. Super cool dude. :cool:

It's alright. There's some good moments and some bland moments. Worth listening to if you're a fan of the band though. Stu Block is a good vocalist.

Did you listen to the first album from them? Think you'd like both tbh.

Bit disappointed in that new Akercocke track, only heard once but something about the riffing didn't work for me. Though definitely glad to have the lads back, as you said.

Many tracks are still overlong, but this album (Disc One, especially) has really grown on me. The new songs fit nicely amongst the classics in a live setting (the boys killed it last night I'm glad to report) and the band continues to remain relevant after 40+ years of existence.

Another outstanding post-reunion album from the Maiden boys. Brave New World is still their best but this may just edge Book of Souls for the #2 spot.
