Album of the month

We expected a lot from this new Freedom Call album. Why that ?

Is it due to this Helloween touch that has awakened so many heavy/speed fans on Stairway To Fairyland (their first album) ?
Is it the magical voice of Chris Bay, which reminds us Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween singer) ?
Or is it due to the drummer Dan Zimmerman, who is also the drummer of ... Gamma Ray ?

Hard to say ?! But I can tell you this one is their best so far ! Their best f*cking album !! Their best f*cking best !!!

Freedom Call is back with Eternity, which is actually their third record. As you know, the third album is considered by many as the coronation ... or the fall. Freedom Call knew it too that Eternity will be considered as their most important work ... and this pressure has pushed the band in the right direction as the song-writing is stronger than ever.

After a kind of "Russian intro", the first song hits directly my ears and my heart : Metal Invasion is an unbelievable heavy/speed song, full of melodies, combined with "Helloweenish" tempo & chorus .... a future classic. The next tracks, Flying High & Ages Of Power are also two killers (ohhh yeeesss). Chris Bay is excellent and I must admit I was missing his warm voice. The symphonic elements are stronger than ever and Eternity sees the return of these hunted melodies of Stairway To Fairyland and the return of these bombastic chorus. The production is enormous and even the two ballads (Flame In The Night and Turn Back Time) take you out your deepest emotions. Perfect, simply perfect !

Warriors is THE mega hit on Eternity : what a power, what a tempo and what a f*cking great chorus that will blast everything in your brain : the next summer hit, the one I sing under my shower !!! Just the time to take my breath and The Eyes Of The World hits me right in the face. Yes, I can tell it : the great & famous Helloween is resurrected !!! We have dreamed of a "third episode" of Keeper Of The Seventh Key I & II for too long now : stop dreaming, stop searching, this Eternity has all it taste to become THE future classic, the new heavy/speed masterpiece ... in the pure Germanic tradition !!!

A must, simple as that :))

Killing Songs :
Warriors, The Eyes Of The World ... and all the rest !!!!!!!!!!!!!
