Crap of the month

The Meat Shits. Just the very name alone speaks volumes of what this band is about. A band that really can't be taken seriously under any circumstance.

Robert Deathrage is the demented brainchild behind The Meat Shits. "Sniper At The Fag Parade" is a collection of unreleased recordings from around 1993 to 1997 and re-mastered in 2002. Even re-mastering can't help clean up this heaping mess called The Meat Shits.

The Meat Shits are a porno-deathgore noise grindcore band that can be best described as a mix between Mortician and S.O.D. They play with the same barrage of uncomprehendable noise that a Mortician or S.O.D. is capable of. Also like Mortician, they use audio clips from movies at the beginning of their songs, some almost as long if not longer than the tracks themselves. As for the the lyrical content, it is very humorous yet explicit like S.O.D.. Just look at the some of the song titles alone: "Asian Cum Shot", "Homo-Caust", "Last Train To Shitsville" and "Pussy Fruit". Also, most of The Meat Shits songs a just a few seconds long, kind of in the style of S.O.D. songs like "Ballad of Jimi Hendrix", "Diamonds and Rust" or "Hey Gordy". "Sniper At The Fag Parade" is an album of noise and utter junk. Picture someone eating each instrument and then puking them up all at the same time. The end result is something that is hard to make out.

I have to give this album some kind of score just based on the fact that the band name, album and song titles had me hysterical laughing, which happened before I even had a chance to listen to the album. But overall this slab of crap is nothing noteworthy musically. It's more of an attempt at making something humorous and comedic, yet at the same time promoting political points of view of hate against such topics as women and homosexuality. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND PRECIOUS LISTENING TIME!

Killing Songs :
Can these really be considered songs? More like killing noise!
