Another direction change, but this one is radical. Matters Of Survival is a concept album on the drug subject. The first song Ecstasy (We Fly Till We Die...) is setting up the tone of this album. Not such a bad one actually, but the problem is that's no longer Axxis music (too groovy), the more time passes the more they're getting underground but normally it's the opposite that happens... That album is probably the bands fatal mistake. From there Axxis was not anticipated like before as a good German melodic heavy metal... So good songs like Ecstasy or C'est La Vie which I consider one of Axxis best songs are in this album, and the song writing is very original, some new stuff nicely realized. In the end the message behind the lyrics is good and noble, but somehow Axxis are on the verge of a fall...
