Album of the year

As you know, we are based in Switzerland, Geneva. Apart from watches, chocolate and cheese, we have also our metal bands. Our best international well known band nowadays is Samael. They took time before reaching recognition from media and this album (their last one so far) will shine forever in our hearts. I don't know if God really exist, but this music seems to comes from the stars, where only God (or Gods) have their seats "reserved". Dark metal, totally organic music but in the same time hot and cold. Mixing this album must have been very difficult ; their are samplers everywhere, effect on voices (never brutal), guitars, nebulous keyboards, heavy guitars, "rhythmic" drums. When you have all those possibility for your music (sounds - voice & guitars effects - samplers) you can generally create dozens of version for each song and choose the right one must also be a "complicated" job (congratulation to David Richards - recorded, engineered and mixed). Samael have their own and typical sound (so difficult today for others) and a lot of bands are influenced by this wonderful "organic" sound and music.
The art cover of this album leaves me speechless and adds questions such as : Where are we coming from ? Is their a place in space where everything starts ? Is this starting point also the ending one ? Come back another day for answers.
Close your eyes, put your headphone and be ready for a "space-ride". No, you are not in a space ship.
You're lying in your sofa and Samael's music is creating this effect. Have a nice trip.

Killing Songs :
Year Zero & Together are two unbelievable songs
