Crap of the month

By the time you're reading this the CD must be flying over Australia... although I doubt it made it's way there, cause there's probably another angry metal fan who recognized it and shooted it down by now... if its not the case well, people might see a small Unidentified Flying Object throughout Australia... no need to panic, it's just the last Malmsteen that flew over my window.

Let's be realistic, this is not a good album !!! Although he says the fucked up production has been done on purpose I don't really think so. Anyway it's unacceptable to have such a mess mix and worst being to publish it... now I'm asking myself if it wasn't just for money this time !!!! Malmsteen was getting better in my own appreciation with the last release but even more with Facing The Animal which was a jewel ! Normal it got kicked out and shooted down in reviews, cause there Malmsteen was playing at normal pace and made only a few guitar demonstrations... but hell the album rocked and was emotion packed. Here it's shit-packed, melodies heard 10000 times on too many bucks spend on the same CDs over and over again... I don't even know why the fuck I keep these !!!

Yngwie can play fast and technical... no doubts there, but doing something original and enjoyable, that it seems, is something he never learned to do since his first albums. I don't understand how fans can still buy and love this kind of music, don't you guys care about having 20 same CDs ??? Cause there's so little difference between everyone of them. So I fail to get the point here !!

Anyway, this one is only a freesbie as far as I'm concerned. There's good emotion in the song Miracle Of Life (that's why the CD doesn't get a 0 it almost deserves) and that's because he probably wrote it for his wife, but it's not enough to save the day. The Wizard is also almost cool... but again we've heard both melodies, riffs and chorus on other songs... so please stop insulting your fans ! Molto Appregiosa is another guitar demonstration and a good one, but again, nothing new and you can write instrumental CD if it is you want to prove the world you can play guitar... we want songs here, at least when we review bands CDs... but there is no such thing as a band when it writes Malmsteen on the CD. The worst is that I see all over the world that the CD is accepted with arms open... and I don't get it... probably like Gates and Windows, it's got to be the marketing. I know I'm very hard here but it's the guy at least 20th CD... and that's an important fact to take care of when quoting an album I think. If it was his first CD's he would probably have been quoted around 40.

The last reggae song is a joke, and the one that really annihilated my last doubts about throwing the CD out the window.
Red alert, all crew abandon ship !!!

Killing Songs :
The sun's reflection on the CD while spinning in the air.
