Album of the month

This new Gotthard album is a very good surprise and may very well be their best album so far. They have this flaming spirit and this magic touch that helps make very good melodic Hard-Rock. So for those of you who thought Switzerland could only deliver watches and chocolate, you'd better review your judgment cause we also have very good metal over here =).

The album start with a killer song called Everything Can Change.Gotthard singer performance is very good, standing in beetween Jeff Scott Soto and David Coverdale. The songs are in the veins of bands like Bon Jovi or Def Leppard and are more melodic than what Gotthard usually delivers. Don't get me wrong, it's still feels like Gotthard, but the songs are more catchy and the chorus tend to get more melodic, for the sole pleasure of your dear reviewer :). Alterning great catchy songs with great ballads. Only the accoustic track 6 called Lonely People is a bit light compared to the rest of the album.

An excellent surprise indeed, emotion packed, full throttled melodic Hard Rock that will blow your mind away. That is if you like "soft" metal. But as far as I'm concerned, this album is a great moment of music ! The production is perfect, delivering a strong, powerfull and crystal clear sound. That's the kind of CD that makes we wanna Rock'n'Roll all night... and party everyday ;). Two thumbs up guys !
