After the release of the fabulous Paranowhere last year, we were asking ourselves what happened to our Mother Kingdom friends. That's when this 4 titles single arrived on my desk. Actually it's 4 promotional titles recorded in 2 days (yes, only 2 days) which simply explodes the best productions of the style. Half way between Rock and Metal, sweet chants and furious guitars of this Make My Demo which is a real jewel which can rival with the bests !

Form the beginning the superb Dazed reminding me a mix of James Hetfield and Kurt Cobain makes us enter the world of these 4 guys from Geneva. World that is of course beyond this little comparison as there certainly is this Mother Kingdom touch in the air. A sound and voice recognizable out of a thousand which makes us vibrate from the first seconds. Melancholic Symphony (which have nothing melancholic by the way) is there to prove it with its aggressive rhythm while keeping a very nostalgic touch. It's sad to see, after hits like 15 minutes Late or even the revisited Make My Day, that awful bands like Slipknot or Limp Bizkit are on the top of the sales for the genre when Mother Kingdom could easily replace them if you ask me... but be assured that with this demo in the pocket, these four geniuses will go and preach the good world of Mother Kingdom all over the planet... I can only wait now, wait for the release of their first "real" album Nowhere, Now Here which, let's hope, shouldn't be long now... who said Rock was dead ?
