Seinfeld26 wroteI started playing Knights Of The Old Republic (X-Box version) after going on a brief hiatus from it. Right now, I'm at the Vulker Base.
God that was a great game... The sequel was pretty good as well, and gave you a bit more freedom than the first one. Unfortunately, they rushed production of the second game and the story makes very little sense, as if random chunks had just been left out.
And I agree that MGS4 is kind of disappointing... not even because of the extremely long cut scenes (which I do find annoying), but because the gameplay doesn't exactly captivate me either. I never played any of the other MGS games, so I guess that could be why, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. Also, I don't think the long cutscenes are at all necessary for a game to have a great story. Cutscenes take control away from the player and force him to sit back and watch the story happen rather than letting him experience it for himself.
Right now I'm playing Mirror's Edge (fun, but kind of monotonous... and the story sucks), Resistance 2 (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah), BioShock (finally came out for PS3, one of the greatest games I've played recently... excellent story as well), Fallout 3, Oblivion (I still come back to it occasionally), Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress 2 (basically the greatest online game ever...)
