Karmakosmonaut wroteI'm already playing Empire: Total War, bought it for only 30€, installing it took quite a bit of patience though. Fucking Steam.I'm surprised at how fluid it runs on my laptop, which is just under the system requirements. It's quite scalable in terms of graphic detail, but I can turn everything up to medium and I still get a decent framerate except in the biggest of land battles.I recommend you start with the Road to Independence campaign instead of the Grand Campaign; it's basically the introduction to the new campaign maps, which are definitely different from Rome and Medieval 2.
Cool, good to hear! However I am having some rather major issues with mine. Namely it blue-screening everytime I start the game up. I've installed the latest graphics and sound drivers for my laptop.
The error message it's giving is:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL_TO
And then
CHDAud.sys and a memory address.
It's been so long since I've had to troubleshoot anything. I looked it up and it said that it's an audio driver issue, but it did it both before and after I installed the audio shit. I've been spoilt by consoles
So yeah, I've spent the best part of 3 hours raging at it to no avail.
