Still playing MW2. I'm getting the hang of regular Ground War now, getting positive scores all the time, with some excellent scores like 26-3, 50-11 from time to time. Some things still piss me off to no end, poor weapon balance and spawn system mostly.

Just finished Alan Wake for the 2nd time and i got all the achievements as well, now that i got that outta the way...i'm ready for Red Dead Redemption!

My local gamestop didn't do a midnight opening so I have still yet to get my copy of Red Dead. But! I will be getting it I. Roughly an hour as I will have some down time with work, unfortunately I won't get to play until after 10 pm.

Who's down for skinning some bears?

I love how on the trailer for free roam it says "Or you could just go on a gentle hunt together" as five guys chase down an elk in slow motion. :lol:

I'll see if I can't make it to Best Buy tonight, but since you have work I likely wouldn't be able to play until Thursday.

yeah I won't be home until 10ish my time
and even then I've got playoffs to watch. So Thursday night would be best.

Mario Kart Wii. Yeah, I know I've been buying a lot of games lately. A lot of it is that I'm trying to catch up on some of the current-gen games I missed over the last few years.

Anyway, Mario Kart Wii should be coming in the mail tomorrow. I'll begin playing it on Friday. Just out of curiosity, why do some people consider Mario Kart DS to be a better game?

So Red Dead Redemption is just ridiculous. There is so much to do and see, you'll never get bored. The main story is cool, the side quests are cool, the random encounters in the wild are cool, it's all just so damn cool. I decided to go hunting last night for Bucks. I travelled on horse to the best known area and did the rest on foot. I was crouched down with my rifle at the ready. I see my deer, I aim goin for a head shot, and then bam I get attacked by 3 cougars. The assholes were stalking me as I stalked the deer. The one attacked me and knocked me over as the other two went after the deer and my horse. They killed my horse. I tried to get out my double barrel shotgun to deliver some Shotgun Justice (canadian thrash ftw!) but I wasn't quick enough and the next thing I know is I'm dead.

Awesome awesome game.

You probably already know this, but be wary when you see a damsel in distress on the side of a trail. The bitches are sometimes bait and if they are, outlaws will come out of nowhere and kill you before you have time to even fire a shot.

I was fooled a couple times so now when I see a damsel in "distress" I just shoot her knees out and ride on.

new MW2 maps went up yesterday.

I've played 3 of the 5 so far.

Trailer Park - ridiculous, small and close quarters.

Carnival - like no COD map ever. It's broken up into 4 different parts, and all 4 are very different.

Strike - from COD4. still the same old map, which is an awesome one at that. there are visual updates, and some of the 'glitches" from COD4 are gone.

have yet to play Fuel or Vacant.

I'm going to start playing Baldur's Gate 2 again on Sunday. I'm also planning to buy Planescape Torment next month.

Is it weird that I actually find Bioware's old Infinity Engine games to be my favorites?
