He didn't do enough for the dalits is not equal to "a failure for doing anything for the dalits". The phrase "doing anything for" is not equal to "doing enough for". That implies that he fucked up because he helped the untouchables and shouldn't have even tried to help them. Anyways, Gandhi is over hyped by liberals anyways. Bullshit framing of a single individual as if he toppled colonialism. Instead, he was made the face of a much larger, broader movement that transcended his lifetime comprised of factions that didn't even agree with him. Of course, Gandhi did bring about change, but only because his weaker demands were much easier to give into than the more radical factions'.

the vile nature of individuals within the industry aside (Flynt disgusts me, the scumbag doesn't deserve to be alive) it's still a matter of choice and those who find this material offensive, distasteful or morally unacceptable are free to choose not to view such materal just as those who want to view it choose that option

in much the same way those involved in producing such material choose to be involved in it, I shall neither condemn nor justify the pornography industry beyond suggesting that, in most cases, I would imagine those involved to be willing participants

Yes, unless its the taping of rape. However, the problem is that some people enter into it because they have no other options and don't want to do it. It's them doing what they have to do, not what they want to do.

I believe in an earlier post I had said willing for the most part I understand that not everyone involved does so because they "always wanted to" however even those who aren't doing so because they want to, unless they are being forced to do so, are still voluntarily participating which just based on your previous comment you don't seem able to understand, and your criticism of a society that allows this industry is just absurd, blaming the whole of society for not stamping out an industry where the participants opt into such a life (by and large) and that does not appeal to everyone just seems hypocritical, particularly as you defend freedoms in other aspects of life
