I think steve made the point that interracial violence is going to happen more than not due to the large number of whites. Those black folk simply don't come across as many of their own kind to beat up since all us white folk are running around all the time being productive, putting ourselves out their in the open.
So if poor whites, percieved as white trash, without oppurtunity group up and blame their lot on blacks and go around in gangs attacking blacks, that's acceptable?
They already do that. That's a description of most white power groups. The disadvantaged background of skinheads quite often leads to this. it is not acceptable. Neither is black participation in gangs. What irks me is the fact that you link violence essentially to blacks.
The cycle repeats itself due to the culture which you think exists, barring some tweaks to it. I refuse to think that people join gangs because of people like Sharpton or Jackson but their exists a propensity to join gangs due to the conditions in the city developing out of poverty which black youth are sucked into and often encouraged to participate in through the culture of mainstream commericialized, mind you, hip-hop. It's not because they are black like you seem to reduce it to but I think you're right that this trend happens but for different reasons. I think it is nurtured by the media, exacerbated by the real conditions of poverty, the false hopes of what it can do for them and misunderstood nature of the problem. To paraphrase IT, their problem is my problem is your problem, not the white man next door but the white people in the govt. And the biracial guy who acquiesces to the white people in business. He doesn't get a free pass for being a bitch.
