I remember seeing Iced Earth in a small parisian club for their first ever european tour, that was for their debut album. The sound was kind of awful but you could see they had potential, the vocalist was constantly out of tune, maybe he couldn't hear himself sing on this particular concert, maybe he was not just able to sing on tour and was fired because of it, I don't know, I know I remember him to be a major annoyance in an okay performance.
