When I say people either love it or hate it, I was not including me in that statement. Just people I hear talking about it, either love it or hate it. Where I could care less about it. I saw it, I laughed, I forgot about it.

Food Inc - I liked the message but the delivery was a bit sleepy. Rockin soundtrack though

A Simple Plan - Somewhat silly people killing each other in snow over money THEREFORE SIMILAR TO FARGO. Pretty tense and psychologically complex, but it could have been a lot more tense/emotional/good although it was pretty good.

Pretty much what you said... it was just okay. Too kiddish for adults, to dark for children. It had its moments though. But when the part that thrills me the most is a two-line cameo from Christopher Lee... well, that pretty much sums up how I feel about it.

I actually liked it, but it just seemed... unbalanced. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be a horror flick, or a disaster movie, or sci-fi, or what. And yeah, Cage's acting is pretty bad. He only has like... two facial expressions, and only one tone of voice. Still, I liked that it was much darker than most movies of its kind and that it went for the ending that nobody ever expects to see.

I sort of agree with him about Cage's acting - he can be great, but generally chooses the wild man routine, which is highly amusing but hardly amazing acting. And the biblical overtones of the ending were pretty obvious to me.
