Afro_D-Shak wroteSaw Sinister last night. It's rare that such a disturbing horror film (made for $3 million with hardly any gore no less) makes it into the wide-release category, but wow, what a refreshing change from the typical trash put out during the Halloween season. The first shot alone is quite fucked up, and the soundtrack had me on edge even during the calmest scenes. Horror fans should definitely check it out.
Wanted to see that but the girlfriend vetoed it, might have to go and see it alone, looks great!
Went to see On The Road with a friend last night - not having read the book probably means I missed a lot but it was very good, despite the presence of her out of Twilight. Despite the plot being basically driving and shagging, there was a lot of subtle stuff about feminism (Trapt will seriously love this film) and the basic filmcraft was excellent.
