Watched a few movies in celebration of Halloween.
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark - Beautiful sets (you can tell by looking at it that Guillermo del Toro was involved), unique atmosphere, but not really scary.
Carrie - A classic. This was at least my fifth time seeing it, and it still holds up really well.
[REC] and Quarantine - I had actually seen Quarantine first, but decided to watch both back to back to make an accurate comparison. They are literally almost the same movie, shot-for-shot. Each film does some things better than the other ([REC]'s last scene was way creepier while Quarantine had more likable characters and gave off a stronger feeling of chaos and hopelessness) but overall I don't really prefer one to the other. Seeing as how they're basically both the same film, however, I don't see why Quarantine really needed to be made.
