Spain is looking very strong, but then again they look strong in every single competition but something always goes wrong for them :/

i don't know about the other teams, none of them looks like a pushover but it seems to me that Russia will be last while Greece and Sweden fight over #2.

the most unpredictable group is clearly C. on one hand i'm glad we didn't get stuck with those guys, but on the other hand... if Portugal was eliminated they'd have an excuse, but if they passed they would win the Euro for sure 😛

Nah, we've managed worse groups in the past. Surely we'll get our asses kicked once we reach the quarter finals, but I'm confident we'll get there. If Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in good shape during the tournament I think it might turn out to be quite a fun summer after all. Our opening game against Greece is crucial though, since Spain is clearly superior in our group. But anything can happen in a tournament like this, and we did beat them once in the qualifications.

Which only goes to prove my point that in a tournament like this anything can happen. I'd be very, very surprised if they'd go further than quarter final this time.

+1: Greece plays boring horrible 'result-football' not play good or beautifully but only about the result even if this takes 89 minutes of 10 players in the penalty box and 1 counter to win.

Yea they def don't play "Beautiful" football, but they are strong and never give up and do not care if they face enemies stronger than them.

and about Portugal... if every player performed like in their clubs i honestly think we'd be world champions. Ronaldo and Quaresma especially underperform so badly for the national team it's infuriating.

Portugal on the paper is a really awesome team. And i love their style of playing when they play good.

indeed, on paper. but they don't try half as hard as for their clubs, which is pretty sad.

anyway Benfica beat Shakhtar Donetsk tonight, 2-1 in the Ukraine with -10ºC. strong performance, got us into the UEFA Cup at least.

Scottish football was hit with a real tragedy yesterday. Motherwell's captain Phil O'Donnell collapsed on the pitch just before being substituted off and had died by the time he arrived in hospital. He was only 35.

I heard about that. It seems to (sadly) becoming increasing common these days.

I rly can't remember there being so many upsets in one day. FA cup is the best cup competition in the world. Shame we'll have to wait till next year to have a crack at winning it lol.
