Liverpool really, and finally gave me a breather against Boro. It wasn't an impressive win, but most importantly we have all 3 points in the bag. Defence has been shitty all this season, but there's improvement in midfield. And I'm fuckin glad Torres did very well against Boro. A hattrick, finally.
I didn't watch the Arsenal match but managed to catch the highlights. It was a nasty tackle, but like someone here said, it doesn't look intentional. It's just unfortunate Eduardo was there at the wrong time and place. Shift inches to the left or right, he might have escaped with a bruise. From the pictures and footages I couldn't tell how bad the leg was, all I heard was the commentator saying it was broken. But when the camera focused on Fabregas looking over Eduardo, giving that horrid look, I guess it was pretty bad. I remember it was the same expression Nistelrooy gave when Riise broke Smith's leg from a free kick blast. I remember reading Nistelrooy's comment "Anoe part of the leg was pointing somewhere and the other was pointing towards Hong Kong" (or something like that).
Arsene's comment on how people are doing the worst to stop his players is true, but they're not the only victims. Any good player especially if he playes with flair is a target. Ronaldo (Cristiano) was a victim of a lot of nasty tackles just because he drove the defenders nuts apart from humiliating them.
For a great player that Eduardo is, the only worry all of us have is whether he will get back his true from/self once he's recovered. Smith didn't make it, and most probably never will. And from what I've heard, Eduardo's broken foot was even uglier than Smith's.
But one guy who has broken his leg only to comeback even stronger is Henrik Larsson. God bless him.
