Woop woop! Belgium's -21 team is in the half finals football in Bejing!

Great performance since they were 1-0 down after 15 minutes(penalty) and with a red card for Vermaelen. Dembelé showed the world he is ready for a team in the Premier League!(Not one of the top four maybe, but at least teams like Everton, Tottenham..)

Italy was really weak, and hey had quite a few talents with them!

Liverpool won! they're my favourite English club and José Mourinho tipped them to take the premiership this year (which they haven't done since like 1990 i think).

Newcastle are looking good.. i admit i didn't see this coming. Kevin Keegan means business. Chelsea won 4-0, nice goal from Deco, eh?

Belgium is playing Brazil for the bronze medal so I don't think we'll get a medal in football..or anything else.

In other news: Vincent Kompany as left HSV for Manchester City:

This is good because: he's a big talent, and a good defender along Micah Richards is just wat City needed/he had too many problems concerning injuries and coaches at HSV

This could be bad because: He has shown that he is sensitive to injuries, and the Premier League is physically the most tiring league in the world.

Kompany is really good, hopefully he'll manage to stay in shape.

i think this time round Argentina will beat Nigeria in the final. their team is just too strong, with Riquelme, Messi and Aguero and rising stars Di Maria and Lavezzi. no chance.

Argentina won, and Benfica's own Angel Di Maria scored the only goal with a fabulous lob. nice one!

Shevchenko returned to Milan. i don't think he'll be as good as he was a few years ago, but he'll be much better than at Chelsea. he's still in good shape despite his age, and is probably very motivated after returning to the club where he spent his best years. if they can get him and Ronaldinho to play anything like they did a few years ago, they'll have an excellent team:

Jankulovsky - Maldini and Nesta - Oddo
Gattuso and Pirlo
Seedorf and Kaka
Ronaldinho and Sheva/Alexandre Pato

all they need is a good keeper.

Benfica just got David Suazo on loan.. we're building quite a good team. they signed Jose Antonio Reyes, David Suazo and Pablo Aimar this summer, adding to players like Cardozo and olympic gold medallist Angel Di Maria. BENFICA :dio: :dio: :dio:

i disagree. their team is very strong, although one can still question their defense - they're mostly, like, really really old.

quite a few players have come in, i think that after they get used to eachother they'll play some good football. that Ancelotti guy sucks, though.

Benfica is playing Napoli this thursday, and i fear it's going to be really hard. they have a strong team, Cannavaro and Santacroce in defense, Hamsik in midfield and German Denis and Lavezzi in attack, they tied 1-1 at the Olimpico with Roma playing with 10 and just beat Fiorentina this weekend :ph34r:

Dude their whole team is mostly, fucking old! A few exceptions won't make the difference. They made an awful campaing, they deserve to go down the drain!

Ah, glad to see Atlético perform well, Aguëro has shown that he still is one of the best strikers and biggest talents in Europe. I'm also glad that Scolari has a positive influence on Chelsea, who have played nice football in their last matches. Oh and AS Roma shouldn't have underestimated Cluj!

Hell, I hate Mourinho as a person, but he's still a good coach. I wouldn't slam on Scolari, simply because he didn't do what you wanted with Portugal :wink:

but dude! he was here for 3 competitions and we were always miserable. he had EVERYTHING to win Euro 2004 but we failed in the final because he is such a fucking retard; in 2006 we were decent and in 2008 we only qualified in the last game and were generally crap.

for all 3 campaigns Portugal's only glaring weakness was that we didn't have (don't have) a good striker, but considering our midfield's firepower that should never even have been an issue.
