You're kidding right? Has this guy even followed half the news stories about the economy since then US crash? Most of Europe was pretty damn worried when it happened. This article reeks of American patriotism and boorishness.This comment is a good point:

Are mortgage loans the only form of assets a bank can have? I don't think so, but Gross uses this obviously misleading stat to compare the irresponsible behavior of banks in Europe and the US. Then he says that "The assets of JPMorgan Chase, the largest U.S. bank, is only about 7 percent of America's annual output", but that is only one bank, and we have lots more banks that either Britain or Iceland. Why does he use assets and mortgages as if they are one and the same? why only use the assets for one bank, relative to the entire economy?

We elect members to the Canadian House of Commons.
So we vote for the party, but you also need to think about who is running.
Like we're voting for a prime minister, but also for the Representative in our own City.
