Morlock It was around 200$ canadian and yeah I was strapped to an old guy. They don't let you do it on your own until you've gone through a couple thousand dollars of training and whatnot.

Goat I've heard far too many stories about parachutes failing to want to do that, plus having felt the actual urge to jump off tall buildings I'm worried that I just wouldn't pull the chord. Bah, running across the road is as much excitement as I need.
Ness Tlaloc wroteAnd so the thread ends before it begins. Sorry to hear that Ness. She and I weren't really close. We just hung out some in high school. Anyway, her parachute just didn't come out. She and the instructor were both killed. So I'm with Zad, you won't catch me jumping out of any planes.
Rhys Whats even worse is BASE jumping. The death statistics for that sport are incredible...... Why would you do it if u have such a huge chance of dying? (No thrill is worth dying for surely?)
Shuten_Doji that is quality. I have attempted sky-diving TWICE now, and both times it's been cancelled due to bad weather. They suit you up, get you ready to jump, and then they're like.. "Oops.. wind is picking up. Let's wait an hour and see if it calms down a bit". It's the most awful sense of anticipation I have ever felt in my life.
