Oh, I have an idea to draw some interest!I buy winner a CD of their choice (if I win, I buy a CD for myself!).If anyone not named DW or me wins I'll buy them two CDs, and if anyone not named DW or me finishes in 2nd, they get a CD as well.I had this idea in my head for a fantasy league several months ago and then forgot, so kudos to DW for thinking of it.

What type of league is it? The only one I like doing is Head-To-Head on Yahoo.

head to head is what I usually do as well. seems to be the easiest.

and yeah, I didn't think you'd want in the pool. it's a yearly thing my cousin does with his buddies and I was invited into it this year.

A friend of mine would probably be interested as well, we've been talking about joining a fantasy league since the old one we used to play over at sportingnews is gone. He's a metal fan who reads the site (not the forums though) but if we have a slot open for him I'm sure he'd be all over it. He doesn't have to be included in the prizes or anything, just looking for a good time.

I highly doubt it, seeing as how mostly all of us are in different timezones.

I would only wanna do a live draft as I detest autopick drafts. Or we do it offline here but it would have to be done asap as the season starts next Thursday.

how deep do we want this?

like are we going to do offense only, or should I include defensive aspects of the game?

right now I have 13 different categories, they are:

goals
assists
power play points
plus/minus
shorthanded points
game winning goals
penalty minutes
shots on goal
wins
goals against average
save percentage
saves
shutouts

should I add some? drop some? I think saves and save percentage is kinda redundant, but I don't want it to be an even number of categories.

any type of input will be greatly appreciated.

it's probably going to have to be an autodraft, it will just be too difficult to do a live draft either online at yahoo or here because of time zones, jobs, family, etc.. as much as autodrafts suck, it will have to be it. maybe next year, if we do this again, we can set up a live draft.

just make sure to set your preferences.
