It looks like this is the disease of certain type of vocalists, right? Kiske, Tate, Midnight, Kahn... I wonder why. Perhaps they think slow parts emphasize their voice better, or maybe they think of themselves as songwriters who have become too "mature" for the "silly" speedy heavy metal songs.
