Finished Trailer Park Boys. Loved it. Yeah season 7 drags, but 6 seasons of quality is a good run. I don't think I've ever flat-out enjoyed a show this much. One example is season 3, episode 2, where Julian hides the stolen liquor in a kid's pool because the cops are putting heat on him. All seems well until Ricky and Randy start fighting and end up in the pool, ruining Julian's 10k investment. I knew what was going to happen but didn't care, the actors are just that funny, and the world of Sunnyvale so realistic in how how flawed all the characters are.

On to Breaking Bad next, I guess.

Fair enough. 2, 3 and 5 were my favorites. 4 was good but several episodes were just Bubbs, Ricky, and Julian out in their fields, and I wanted more JRoc. 5 I liked because of how crazy the finale was, and also seeing Lahey at absolute rock bottom. I'd say everything but season 7 was great though.

Season 8 will be weird with Lahey retired, but Randy is funny enough to be the main antagonist. I heard Cory will be back, at least in the movie, too.

A series like this would make me proud to be a Canadian. Can't claim that, but I did have great grandparents from Nova Scotia!

It is by far the greatest thing ever in canadian entertainment. There's a lot of hidden jokes that make it even funnier if you're a Canuck.

Worst case Ontario you won't need rocket appliances to figure it out.

TPB is the best comedy show ever imo, no other show touches upon the kind of stuff that I personally find funniest. Stuff like when Julian is drunk as fuck on swish, dancing around with an old fucking dirty dog and eating pizza crust of the ground. Or when Ray tears his plumbing out of the walls to sell for liquor money.

The last three episodes of Supernatural have been the worst fucking ever. All hope I had for this season has gone to shit. SoA is still fucking awesome, even if it needs to unentangle itself, be edited down and stop being so dramatic. Misfits has kinda gone to shit, starting with last season.

But luckily I have returned to watching The Shield. The girlfriend loves it so we have begun plowing through three to four episodes a night. Season three was solid, but I don't know what to do with this whole Glenn Close showing up thing. I love her, but this character doesn't seem to suit her. Next, the ladyfriend wants to watch The Wire, but I'm trying to push her to Justified, she just hates Walton Goggins character too much in The Shield to give it a chance.

Finished The Office and caught up with How I Met Your Mother. Tempted to go looking for other TV shows but thinking there's probably better stuff I could be doing with my time. hmm

HIMYM is so crap lately... they should have ended it on a high not after season 4 or 5. there are still some good moments, but it's getting gimmicky, predictable and repetitive and i watch it mostly because of how invested i am in the story now.finished season 5 of The League. good stuff but not at the level of season 2 and most of 3.

I could see those comparisons. Corrine did off better than Skylar though. If television has taught me anything, it is that middle aged white man can only juggle years worth of crimes for so long before it all comes crashing down.I honestly found The Shield's ending more comparable to Dexter's. Both men's lives having crumbled around them as they enter into this entirely different routine. Something about sitting down at a table or sitting at a desk that just slows their lives' trajectories down and lets the protagonist dwell on all the shit that they have done that I find real haunting.

I thought there was a definite dip around Season 6 but then Season 8 and 9 are picking it up again and making me care more about the story which tends to make the jokes funnier too. Kind of a similar arc as The Office actually... awesome beginning, weak middle, strong end.

i disagree regarding HIMYM (don't follow any version of the office), this season has been mostly crap. the jokes are so predictable now, and they confuse running gags with repetitive jokes.

I'm a sucker for running gags which I think is why I gravitate to comedy shows rather than movies.

Friend recommended me Happy Endings. Watched the pilot this morning, seems like good times.

last episode of How I Met Your Mother sucked.this season was shite and the one that came before wasn't much better either. some good moments but nowhere near enough to save the final season. good thing it's over now.... to think how awesome and spontaneous it felt in the early seasons, what a shame.

I liked about a season and a half of Happy Endings. Got sick of it in the second half of the second season though.I thought the last episode of How I Met Your Mother was a weird stew of unhappiness, covering a lot of ground into the future, and rushing to tie up all the threads they've dropped through the years. I found it more weird than bad.
