It's awesome dammit :cool:Recently started season 2 of Battlestar Galactica, really enjoying that. I love the slight depressive elements to it, which are steadily coming more into play. It's only pretty much the most depressing show I've ever seen- the beginning of season 2 especially, when things just get worse and worse and worse, though the first four-five episodes of season 3 and parts of season 4 get even more to that point. The show is at it's best when it's depressing. Unfortunately, the second half of season 2 is pretty weak at points- lots of badly done standalone episodes. Still, some amazing stuff before then and a great finale.

It's a great show, like The Wire in that it's never too OTT action-wise a la 24 or The Shield, but full of drama nonetheless. Completely ruined James Gandolfini for me, though, I can't see him in anything else (including the otherwise excellent In The Loop) without thinking of Tony S. I should probably get around to see The Wire some day as well, with all the praise it's been getting. And that's how I see Michael C. Hall. He will always be Dexter in my eyes πGoat wroteRecently started season 2 of Battlestar Galactica, really enjoying that. Damn hoople heads and dirt worshippers. A terrific show. So many great characters - I love Cy Tolliver, the Doc and Charlie Utter, as well, and Richardson and Farnum are an amazing double-act. But without a doubt my favourite part of Deadwood is when Al and Wu try to have conversations. WHITE! COOOCKSUCKAH! I was crying with laughter when Wu couldn't get Dan to understand him.
Azrael man, so many awesome shows i haven't seen! The Wire! The Sopranos! Deadwood! Rome!! i have to start watching, now that i'm on holiday. how i met your mother and the big bang theory only start on the 11th π any comedies you guys can recommend?
EdgeOfForever Azrael wroteman, so many awesome shows i haven't seen! The Wire! The Sopranos! Deadwood! Rome!!i have to start watching, now that i'm on holiday.how i met your mother and the big bang theory only start on the 11th π any comedies you guys can recommend? People are finally showing some love for The Wire. Everyone should try it. My recommendations for comedies are It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Trailer Park Boys, Arrested Development, Peep Show and The Office.
Legacy_Of_The_Night It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is right behind Arrested Development for the best show ever, for me. The Nightman Cometh is brillaint.
EdgeOfForever When Trailer Park Boys was in its prime it was the best comedy show ever. Having watched both TPB and Arrested Development a million times I now find Sunny in Philly the most enjoyable. You pin me down with your strong arms and I try to fight you, you come inside me and fill me up - the passionate, passionate Night Man!
EdgeOfForever Azrael wrotedo you think it is enjoyable for a non-american? Well I'm Swedish and I don't see any reason why non-americans wouldn't enjoy any of the shows I listed.
DevotedWalnut Trailer Park Boys ftw!!! Pretty much season 1-5 is amazing, 6-7 are ok but you can see that they ran out of ideas.
Azrael couldn't find any Philly episodes to view online. i'll definitely try to check it out, though. last night i saw the latest How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory episodes, and they were both great, especially HIMYM which i think is finally getting back to form in the current season.
EdgeOfForever If you don't want to download episodes you can use www.ninjavideo.net for streaming almost every show there is. They VERY rarely have those "deleted due to infringement" messages that other streaming sites get all the time. Plus everything is in divx quality. It sounds like I'm really trying to sell this site lol, I just think it's a really good streaming site, and those are rare.
Goat Battlestar Galactica season 2 is quickly becoming very awesome indeed. Edward James Olmos is such a badass, I was cheering when he launched an attack to get his men back from the Pegasus. To be continued...
