It's strange but about 85 percent of what you listed I own and like.If you see this let me know if you like that royal thunder cd. Personally it's on my top ten list for 2012 but I'm biased. I'm seeing them again for the second time tomorrow night. And have you spent any time with the new daylight dies yet. I'm happy with it. Ghosting and a final vestige are both great and stick out in my mind. Infidel is a great song too. I'm only like 3 spins into it so my opinions will change as far as favorite songs go but I know this may be just as good if not better than their last one.
I like the Royal Thunder CD a lot, at least most of it. There are a few songs that I'm not too thrilled with but I wouldn't describe those as bad either. I've been enjoying much of this female fronted retro-rock thing that's been going on recently. I like Royal Thunder, Alunah, Witch Mountain, Jess & The Ancient Ones, etc... but I've had trouble getting into Christian Mistress' latest one. I find much of that album disjointed which makes listening to it tough for me.
I don't think anyone can go wrong with Daylight Dies but I'm a bit biased because they're from my town of Raleigh, NC. I'm a big Novembers Doom fan and I find that the new Daylight Dies album sounds a bit like ND's The Pale Haunt Departure which makes me very happy 🙂 I love everything about 'A Frail Becoming' but my favorite would probably be 'Sunset'.
Again, sorry it takes me awhile to catch up with posts. Thanksgiving is coming up and I should be on more. I'm considering driving to Maryland to see Epica, Insomnium, and System Divide during the Thanksgiving break.
