I bought the new Boston album.I haven't really dug into the new stuff yet, but everything scholz has ever written I have REALLY liked, like it's masterpiece quality songwriting and production every time, even for Walk On, and Corporate America. Too bad the latter has half the tracks written by his friends. And unfortunately 3/11 songs were scholz songs from corporate america, which is good - tacked onto the end as a bonus, with the rest being a solid 8 new songs album. Apparently Tom thinks no one heard CA, so he want to give those songs another chance, despite big fans like me having heard them 100's of times. Why am I able to sing along to a brand new album I just bought because I know the songs. The other issue is the vocals. There's four singers, like this is a Beatles record or something. They should have just used Delp in the background vocals, frankly, and had one guy be the singer all over the album, but the rest of the "vocal team" all over the record when needed. It worked out so perfectly on Walk On, Brad Delp wasn't even missed in my book.
