Unholy is a great suggestion just one I would reserve for a while, like trapt suggested with reserving the similarly excellent Dolorian. I think I'd suggest going from Ahab to something like Mournful Congregation or Monolithe before tackling Thergothon too. Good suggestions, just a bit raw for a newcomer.That Anathema album is a mixed bag for me, Shroud of Frost and A Dying Wish are fantastic but then there are songs on it like Nocturnal Emissions, lol.I personally don't care for traditional doom bands like Trouble, Solitude Aeternus, or Messiah era Candlemass, just as many of those fans could care less about MDB and (early) Katatonia. No matter though, we can't all always agree.
