traptunderice heatseeker wroteSaw Mastodon and Converge last night. Converge was simply amazing, during songs Jacob Bannon was all over the place and screaming his face off, while in between he was incredibly gracious to the crowd and did a cool little intro to each of the songs. As a supporting band, their set wasn't as long as I would've liked, but oh well...they closed with Concubine, which was heavy as fuck.Mastodon played Crack the Skye in its entirety, which was fucking awesome. I don't know what it was, but they started out a little shaky with Oblivion--I think it's just not a great live song. But by The Last Baron they looked as excited to be up there as the crowd was to be there, and then they came back out to play some stuff from earlier albums, which was epic. Overall GREAT performance from Mastodon.Dethklok was also headlining...it was interesting, they had a live band performing the songs with videos for each song on the screen behind them. I didn't really take them seriously but a lot of people looked like they had actually come to see Dethklok...they do have real talent, with Gene Hoglan on drums and Metalocalypse-creator/guitarist/vocalist/Berklee-grad Brendon Small absolutely tearing it up. But yeah, music obviously wasn't THAT great, but they still put on a good show.Go see this tour if you can.No HoF comments?
Radagast The Silent Man wroteSaw Black Moor and 3 Inches of Blood last night.. was pretty fucking awesome. :dio: Do want to see 3IOB with Hagberg singing on the old songs. Do want very much indeed.
Radagast ganeshaRules wroteGoing now to see Magnum. Last time I saw them was in 1993 in the Sleepwalkin' tour. Shit! You've just reminded me they're playing next Monday and I haven't got a ticket yet!
Skartasis Oh yeah! Black Flames of Blasphemy, here we come!! During this weekend I'm gonna see Taake, Horna, Archgoat, Revenge, Urn, Denial of God, Blasphemy, Proclamation and Black Witchery. Gonna be one helluva weekend!!!

Yesterday evening I was listening to the Archgoat LP of the "Desecration and Sodomy" live split and I got totally in the mood. I actually got as far as checking the price of tickets to Helsinki, but alas it was too expensive. I'm so envious. Too bad their lives shows are so infrequent. The live recording kicks ass and getting it in the same package as Blasphemy and the rest of the bands is a fucking sweet deal. Enjoy :dio:

But the tickets to the kick were allready sold out monts ago. But hey, Ill toast for you too.
Dago Anyone going to see the Satyricon tour? With Shining, Negura Bunget and Dark Fortress? Fuck, I'm going no matter what. 8th of December...
rio I saw their last one, but it was with Zonaria and The Berzerker as support. Hardly as cool as Shining and Negura... :lame:
Radagast I saw Negura Bunget when they were still really Negura Bunget a few months ago. Damn fine they were, too. Local gig tonight. Syth, Circle of Tyrants, Amok (still local, settle down) and 15 Times Dead's big comeback. Should be a good night. And I'm off work tomorrow so I demand to have some booze.
rio Not even remotely metal, but I'm off to Harrogate, home of old people, to see Buena Vista Social Club tomorrow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=whs1FAkPbTM

I'm not a HoF fan, but they were okay...the sound ruined most of it--all you could hear were the drums.
Sifl Saw Type O Negative this past Friday. Awesome show. Set was about one and half hours. Kenny Hickeys other band Seventh Void opened for them. They weren't bad but still a little generic sounding. The other band that opened was straight out off of the assembly line from victory records called Destrophy, man did they reek of blandness. Not a fan. Overall though Type O definitely made up for the opening faults.
Radagast Goat wroteMarduk are touring the UK with Anaal Nathrakh at the beginning of next year. Potential 😃 Don't miss it, even if just for The Nathrakhs. Phenomenal live band.
stevelovesmoonspell I wasn't able to see Moonspell/Secrets of the Moon this year due to lack of money. But I'll be using the financial aid money to see Immolation and Krisiun outplay and destroy Colonel Sanders and Nile next year :dio:
