Old (obscure) Thrash Bands.

A lot of those bands are not even worth remembering but I do enjoy Holy Terror and Nasty Savage.

Horribly underrated, very technical and just plain awesome. Brain Damage and Go and Live...Stay and Die are easy to find now. I got them for good price at amazon.ca. Their new album is nothing special, but it has it's moments.Sacrifice, Canadas answer to Slayer? Yes. And IMO better. 1987's Forward to Termination is a thrash masterpiece, or as I like to call a thrashterpiece. Also pretty easy to find on major sites like amazon.com.

Pretty spot on. Dunno about the Sacrifice part, but I agree 1oo% with the Vendetta and At War comments. To this list I would add Drifter and Death Row.

About them being better than Slayer. Caveat: I met Rob Urbinati at the Gates of Hell Festival in Toronto. he was there watching Razor.

More speed than thrash but i also recomend them although the vocals can put alot of people off.

I have to support my home state of New Jersey by seconding Whiplash and mentioning Deadly Blessing. Ski from Deadly Blessing is a fucking killer singer. Pretty good melody to aggression ratio.

This thread is pretty much dead, but I did just find a cool old band that I had to share.

Airdash, and the album is called Thank God It's Monday. The singer kinda kills it for me as his one tone throughout 9 songs gets a little boring. But musically these guys rock. Fast, some cool solos, oh and pretty fast too.

Airdash gets a big old DW recommendation.

Nobody mentioned Hallows Eve. They have one of the most ridiculous singers. He is quite over the top, and as such earns a nod from good ole H_T.

Well yeah Hallows Eve does kick ass but they have already been reviewed here thats why i didnt mentioned them, tales of terror is one hell of a thrash album the track Hallows Eve is a favorite of mine, and agreed on the singer.

As I was typing out Sacrifice all I could think of was you. 🙂 :dio:More bands:Angel Dust - before they went all power metal, they released a good thrash album called Into the Dark Past. Good stuff, classic german sound and I truely recommend it.I second the Artillery. I was going to put them in my original post, but they got lost in the maze of bands that came to my head.Gammacide - fast, heavy thrash from Texas. To the best of my knowledge they only released one album. It's called Victims of Science. Blast beats + fast thrash = FTW.Hallows Eve - ive only heard Tales of Terror, but I like it. Also, im pretty sure they have a big box set that just got released not too long ago.and lastly:Headhunter - not pure thrash, but it has Schmier from Destruction doing the vocals and bass, good stuff. Their debut album Parody of Life is quite good power/thrash, and they just released a new album called Parasite of Society which continues in the same vein as their other 3 albums from the early 90's.
