Yeah, I actually got it as a birthday present from my brother when it came out .. has a cool little wolverine comic with it as well.

Story is kind of neat, apparently the band wanted nothing to do with the comic character, but the record company overruled them.

Whiplash is cool shit, just don't expect pure thrash on everything. some of their mid-career stuff is more power-thrash.

I wish I could agree with you. The production is such a huge turn off. I like some of the songwriting, but the drums and Defeis' vocals are nowhere near the past two albums.

We should be due for another VS album some time soon though... you'd think. 4 years? COME ON!!

I used to think the same thing but something clicked.

Also on the Virgin Steele website they announced that they signed with SPV and are working on some new material.

"Stay tuned to us here for the forthcoming album's title, track listings and other related information."

Sounds like it could be pretty soon.. I hope.
