I only have this one and it's quite good actually. I've only listened to it three times though and I'm still getting used to the vocals. I can definitely understand why you think they're annoying, assuming they haven't changed since The Imaginary Direction of Time.

I own Reflections of The I by Winds and the music is really nice but I have never been able to sit through a whole listen as the vocals are just that bad. I've owned it for over 2 years.

I really liked Prominence and Demise.

Vocal stylings are a bit more varied, some harsher vocals and guest singers (including Dan Swano) make appearances.

And the guitarwork/drumming are at the very top of the heap.

Well, what counts as repetitive? "DEAD! Your god is dead! FOOLS! Your god is dead!" is a chorus if you ask me, how many times are a band allowed to repeat something before you throw up in shock?Deicide, well. Blame it on god! Blame it on god! Blame it on god! Blame it on god! And so on. Can't remember any Cannibal Corpse songs right at this second, my mind is blank. Not liking DT gets a :sad:
It is a matter of clarity and song structure. If it is written like a pop song and features clear, growly choruses than I'd rather not listen. Deicide may be that way, I haven't listen to them in years and never really cared for them.

Deicide gets like that on certain albums mainly Serpents and honestly they do it much better than AE.

Actually, this comes from my father's collection. We were talking about noise and he told me he had something noisier than any metal album I could come up with. I have to admit he won.
