Rhys stevelovesmoonspell wroteThey've always sucked, but this album is ok. I think that one's pretty shitty too
stevelovesmoonspell epitomizing the term 'Darkthrone clone' though with less threatening melodies than Transilvanian Hunger. Not bad though
Rhys Nachtmystium started out shit, got better over time, then became shit again after Instinctšecay.

Thrashtildeth Goat wrote Interesting but meandering. Good album, but it comes as a low point in between so many classics.. It lacks the audacity of the debut, the timeless complexity of Lizard, and the sheer awe inspiring power of the Wetton era (my personal fave). Only ever spin this rarely.
Goat It's a shame - any other band, this would be a milestone, but Crimson were so on fire in that era that compared to the other albums this is nothing. It is a good album, without a doubt, but too obtuse and difficult to really be a classic.
Thrashtildeth I think for the most part, its too calm. They had built their sound largely on the juxtaposition of calm against manic, and this seems like a conscious attempt to take the foot off the peddle. It comes off as timid as a result.
Goat Perhaps, but I do find it soothing and beautiful rather than 'timid'. Depends on viewpoint, really.
