got more details for my future job.

starting on monday december 3rd in paris so i should get there on friday or saturday. i'll be there until late march, and then... Itaquaquecetuba, Brasil for a year!

i'll stay in Paris for a couple of months more than expected because of visa issues. can't complain, it'll be an opportunity to improve my french, and i'll be close to Lisbon and Toulouse, plus i already have a few friends there.

can't wait, for Paris anyway. Itaqua will be quite a challenge, but one way or another i think the job and the town will give me some much-needed maturity.

bummer, been wanting to check out a Euro metal festival for years now, all we get down here is a festival that slaps together pop-rock bands, alternative, pop-punk and metalcore bands then might get a legit hard rock or metal band in just to balance things out, we call it soundwave and it totally sucks, the one and only time I went Iron Maiden and Slayer headlined which was awesome, last year slipknot and marilyn manson headlined because Alice Cooper pulled out and this year linkin park and blink 182 are headlining, safe to say even if there were some worthwhile bands playing it (Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax will be there but as I've seen two of them before I'm not paying nearly three hundred dollars just to see Anthrax for the first time when I'll also have to endure bullet for my valentine, trivium, bring me the horizon etc

So fucking pissed. Went out with the med school students who live in my building last night. People were throwing up in the apartment before we even left the building to head to DC. Some guy started wrestling with me and totally jacked my neck. By the time we got to DC, the chick who I was sitting next to had to piss badly and so did I so we went and pissed behind a dumpster. Got into the nightclub. Danced a bit. A Persian girl's cousin was in town and at one point we were going up to the next floor and so she stopped dancing with some guy and took my hand. Went upstairs and preceded to make out on the dance floor. Then hit a couch and made out. I'm fingering this bitch in the nightclub thinking that I'm getting laid that night. As soon as we leave the bar, though, she passes out in my arms and she just crashed on my shoulder the whole ride home. I carried her upstairs and her cousin preceded to give me the stink eye, telling the girl how she is getting lectured in the morning when she's sober. Fucking brown people conservatism. In my defense, she seemed silly drunk the entire time. We were laughing and I was having my neck kissed and my hair pulled only to have her just crash as soon as we left was crazy. These girls are lightweights when it comes to drinking. This whole not getting laid thing is starting to get real old.

Now I'm hungover and filled my belly with too many potatoes. And I have tons of reading to get done.

Been an excellent day for me. Met up with my lady friend this morning, although she was very late but for good reasons. Things are going quite well with her... the direction? towards the mysterious but that's the thrill of it. I will control my emotions toward my will and will not lose this girl because I feel very strong for her. If anything, it should make me feel more motivated to move along with her. Building a great foundation for something that has so potential is definitely worth it. She has such a great personality and character...

I've been in a similar situation, DI. It's kinda damned if you do, damned if you don't because spending time with her makes emotions hard to control but not spending time with her means not having an awesome person in your life.

I was planning to be productive today-buy wool for a scarf and get bank forms for student loan and paycheck stuff-but instead banks and stores are closed so I'm going to sit at home and watch chess documentaries, read Proust, and play clarinet.

Six months ago I thought that playing guitar/singing/swing dancing were passions I'd never get bored of, but I've only played guitar once in the last month and swing dancing is losing it's magic. Odd feeling.
