I used to wait tables. One time a group walked out on me and the manager expected me to pay for it. I told him to go fuck himself and quit.Anyway some places have that rule in place. Where if you get beat for the check you have to pay for it. It's fucked up. But don't feel too bad Wally ding dong. It was a honest mistake.
I think why I feel bad is because, not only did this dude have to pay for me, which this guy was buying me shots all night, but also because the "band" was two girls I went to high school with. So maybe in a roundabout way, I may have hurt their chances at coming back? Don't know, just feel guilty.
That and my roommate is weekday manager/weekend bartender there. But he didn't work last night.
