HAMMERFALL: New Album Details Revealed

Sweden's HAMMERFALL has set "Threshold" as the title of its new album, due in the U.S. on October 31 via Nuclear Blast Records (October 23 in Europe, except in Germany, where it will arrive on October 20). The complete track listing for the CD is as follows:

SUFFOCATION: New Track Posted Online

A brand new SUFFOCATION track, entitled "Misonceived", has been posted online at myspace.com/suffocation. The song comes off the group's new, self-titled album, due on September 19 in North America (September 25 internationally) via Relapse Records. The CD was recorded at Full Force Studios in Long Island, NY and will feature artwork from tattoo artist JonZig. Preview the artwork at this location.

Indiana-based doomsters THE GATES OF SLUMBER have uploaded the lead track from their upcoming album, "Suffer No Guilt", on their MySpace page. Check out the song "Angel of Death" at this location.
"Suffer No Guilt" is described as "a 75-minute true doom masterpiece" and is scheduled for release on August 1 via I Hate Records web site. DEICIDE Cancels Fall U.S. Tour

According to a press from Earache Records, DEICIDE has decided to part ways with booking agent Tammy Taylor, putting their "The Stench of Redemption"
fall tour on a temporary hiatus. However, the band is currently working
on securing a "stronger, more comprehensive" U.S. trek to coincide with
the release of their new CD, "The Stench of Redemption", and is planning to hit the U.K. before the end of 2006. DEICIDE plans to reschedule a full U.S. tour for 2007 and is "excited to hit the road with the power of 'The Stench of Redemption' behind them."

3 INCHES OF BLOOD: New Demo Track Posted Online

A new 3 INCHES OF BLOOD demo track, entitled "Goatrider's Horde", recorded this past spring during a session in Seattle, WA with producer Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT drummer), has been made available for streaming at this location. The song is expected to appear on the Vancouver, British Columbia-based metallers' upcoming CD, which they plan to record in November with Jordison producing. An early 2007 release through Roadrunner Records is expected.

ZANDELLE: New Album Update

New York-based power metallers Zandelle and Limb Music are eyeing a September release overseas and an October release in North America for their third full-length album entitled Vengeance Rising (they also released one six-track EP). The follow-up to 2002’s epic Twilight On Humanity has been in production since 2003. Samples of four new songs can be heard on the band’s official MySpace page. In related news, the band is currently seeking a guitarist to replace Paul LePlaca who recently left the band to pursue other musical interests. The band was holding auditions through June to secure a complete line-up by July, it is uncertain at this time if that replacement was found.

JON OLIVA'S PAIN, the band led by SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva, has posted two songs — "Through the Eyes of the King" and "Playing God" — from its upcoming sophomore album, "Maniacal Renderings", on its MySpace page.
"Maniacal Renderings" is scheduled for release on September 1 via AFM Records. MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine and drummer Shawn Drover recently spoke to Jon Wiederhorn of MTV.com about the progress of the recording sessions for the band's new album, "United Abominations", which is scheduled for a Halloween release.

DEICIDE's concert at the Hustlers in Laredo, TX Friday night (July 14) was reportedly shut down by the police after four songs and DEICIDE guitarist Ralph Santolla was apparently arrested during the ensuing chaos.
