Enlighten me on how else to describe a band which focuses on the environment. Comparable to Stonewall by Annihilator, Blackened by Metallica, One World by Anthrax not to mention Skagos, WITTR or Cattle Decapitation but whatever. A lot like Municipal Waste but better.

Environmental? That would be good for everyone, since Karmo and DevWal can emphasise the 'mental' part.

To be honest, I don't see why lyrical topics have to form part of the genre - NSBM arguably is its own genre, but are we really going to start labelling Thrash by whether it's environmentally-friendly, pro-war or anti-globalisation or whatever?

It's envirometal because people are trying to listen more and more to things that they share the same values as.

Yes, I quite like this.

Environmental/Eco-conscious/Tree hugging etc. isn't a genre descriptor, it's just drawing attention to the ethics of the band. Because as we've found out after long and painful discussions, some people put more importance on that than others.

Tree-hugging metal is a very recent divergent subgenre offshoot of Green Metal. Green metal formed as a reaction against mere Environmental Metal, as the former espoused devotion to the lush fecundity of nature over mere earth, which the former derisively termed 'Brown Metal'.
