enlighten me?

Love the two dub songs on that album. Unless you mean enlighten you about dub in general... wouldn't be very good at that because I've only heard 5~ albums so far.

Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come

And more punk than hardcore, but eh - Supporting Caste by Propagandhi is just fucking amazing.

Been on a hardcore/crossover trip lately so I'll throw in a few of my favorites:

Bad Brains-S/T: Manic vocals, relentless riffage and tighter than a virgin's twat rhythm section propel this record to the front of the hardcore pack. Their shows at CBGBs are still the stuff of legend. The perfect answer to the horrible New Wave crap that had infested punk at the time.

Exploited-Troops of Tomorrow: Pure British hardcore in all it's ugly, ignorant glory. Wattie and Big John crafted the perfect soundtrack for violent disorder and urban decay. Feckin' glorious!!

Cro-Mags-Age of Quarrel/Agnostic Front-Cause for Alarm: Mix the grit and grime of the New York City streets with hardcore's furious tempo and chugging, heavier than thou riffs and you have two releases of considerable power and influence. Crossover is generally considered to have hit it's peak around 1986 and the combination of these two records in particular illustrate why. Cause for Alarm is an all-time pit favorite of mine.

I like my Bad Brains more chill than the s/t tbh. I Against I and Quickness are where it's at.
