| Post subject: | Any Ligeti fans out there? |
Considering his recent passing I wondered if anyone enjoyed his music. I was drawn to him after hearing his work in the Kubrick films 2001 and Eyes Wide Shut and have since heard a few more of his pieces. Any expert or neophyte input on the man or his creations would be appreciated. |

Aah his music was also used in the Shining... Sounds like Kubrick was a big fan... We spent some time looking at his stuff when I was at college, but I can't remember any of it. Sorry to be unhelpful. *frustrated* |

Yes, he was a great composer from my homeland. I consider his strangest and most 'heavy' work Requiem from 2001 Space Odyssey. The darkest music I've ever heard I think... |
