They're finally releasing their third album in August! It took way too goddamn long! Anyway, anyone like them? |

I remember hearing them, and liking them, but it was quite a while ago. How would you describe them? |

They're very unique in style and sound. It's hard to describe. A good dose of goth, some industrial, some 80's pop, some doom (sort of, I guess, slow anyway), a little of that Orgy/Marilyn Manson sound, I guess. Orgy, would you call them nu-metal? I don't know, they're definitely not nu-metal, that's for sure. There's tons of keyboard, too, which is great! I know Cher's son, Elijah Blue, is the lead singer. On their last album, Commencement, they have a killer cover of Rush's "Tom Sawyer." Check out these tracks: KEY TO GRAMERCY PARK TOM SAWYER BETTER THAN YOU KNOW (Unmastered track from upcoming album) |

I like Commencement alot, I like how some of the tracks drone out with the town toned synth. |

Deadsy is much much more synth based and more... new wave sounding? |

Yeah, definitely not nu-metal, but I was trying to find the right term. New wave works. What about nu-wave? ![]() A great band! I have their debut, though it never made it past the promo stage. ![]() |

I can say that the last album got tons of spins from me when it came out. Mansion World and Gramercy Park were stand outs.... I should go see if I can find it in a Bargin bin.. wouldnt mind listening again. |

Elijah was on the Howard Stern show this Wednesday. He played a solo, acoustic version of Carrying Over. It sounded really good, but I've never heard the original so I can't compare. It would most definately be worth a download if you can find it. |
