Well said. I guess their existence is hard enough in their state with no need to be hit by the usual 15 minutes of fame.

This is nothing to do with evolution. It's brain damage. Considering the most remotely distant recognisable human ancestor could walk upright, I imagine if this was an evolutionary throwback these people would have much freakier traits than this.

Indeed. There are a lot of hacks in white coats out there that like to jump up and down in excitement spewing buzzwords in the hope of getting on TV.
