But dude if you don't question science how are you any better than the people who don't question their holy books and believe everything they're told? We shouldn't turn science into a dogma. I am a skeptic and I question everything but I wouldn't question scientific facts (like the impossibility of the universe forming on its own) but I'm going to pick apart every theory.
I completely agree. In fact we are believers in sciene because it has become some sort of modern priesthood, that is only accessible for a small elite. I have a degree in Theoretical Physics, but to be honest, I haven't the hell of a clue what contemporary cosmologists are really talking about.
In addition, science of today is the falsity of tomorrow. It is quite funny that every present scientific generation proved their forerunners to be wrong but still believes that it has found the Philospher's stone now.
This whole thread (the 2nd part to be exactly) reminds me of a Chinese proverb. "If people only talked about things, of which they have notion, there would be deep silence on Earth."
And then OM fell into deep silence...
