No he didn't, they only play best of 5 mate, not best of 7 (and thats only at grand slams)

He can had done it. Turning the 1:5 to 7:5 o 7:6 and winning the next two sets.

I remember a final in Paris in which Lendl did something similar against McEnroe.

The way thast it was posted implied that those three set have already been played. and that would mean game over jimmiy! I can see what you mean now (if that is indeed what he meant) but it wasn't writen like that. ( oh an ganesha, he would only have to win the next set, not the next two!!)

EDIT sorry read it worng!!!! you are right ganesha!!!! stupid me!!!!

I have found the exact game:

http://www.wimbledon.feellondon.co.uk/t ... s_ever.htm

4. Jimmy Connors def. Mikael Pernfors (1-6, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2)
1987 Men's Singles Fourth Round
If anyone needed proof that Connors was one of the most tenacious fighters ever to grace the game, they need only take a look at a recording of this fourth round clash at the 1987 championships. With light fading fast on centre court, the 34-year-old Connors staged one of the greatest comebacks of modern tennis. Down 1-6, 1-6, 1-4, the 1974 and 1982 men's champion dug deep, worked the crowd into a frenzy with his trademark fist pumping and chest thumping to haul in the plucky Swede by winning 18 of the final 25 games to earn a place in the quarterfinals.

Well, It was 1-4, not 1-5, but moreless...

Well, it seems that if someone can stop Fereder, here is the man:

At least, at clay... I bet for him as the next Roland Garros winner.

Here gravel is rough stones, often laid into tar to make a path to walk on.

I will personally send a bunch of flowers to the first person to grab Lleyton Hewitt by the shirt and punch his face repeatedly until his fucking skull caves in.
