But do any of you actually think any of them are bad movies?

Yeah, PM was horrid, Clones was ok, 3rd one was good but the fucking acting was so horrendous it makes it cringe worthy to watch, especially the whole converting to the dark side scene. Good actors too, but good it was horrid. The shit with Yoda and the Wookies though owns your ass.

Hit. They are nowhere near the quality of the original trilogy, but nothing is. They're fun to watch, and the visuals are astounding. Take out Jar-Jar and Jake Lloyd and the movies really aren't as hokey as everyone says. But Hayden Christiansen is the most wooden actor ever. Of course, Darth Maul is the coolest thing ever made.

My biggest gripe of all is that they didnt keep darth maul. Why not kep him and forget about dooku and the coughing robot? It woulda made more sense and he was the coolest of all the bad guys :dio:

Totally. Keeping Darth Maul would have been an enormous boost to the other two prequals. They should have made him like a new Vader; there until the very end.

Toughie. Phantom Menace just plain sucks, its just an awful movie.

The third one was pretty good, but could have been better if the two before it hadn't been so basically pointless. There was basically half a movie's worth of worthwhile story between them. It meant that basically everything had to be summed up in a singel film.

I mean, you've got young Skywalker whose basically a good kid until he fucks up Sam Jackson and then agrees to start killing everyone. I mean it was like the Emperor turned a switch on his back from "good" to "evil." And then you've got the Empire basically taking control inside of 5 minutes. Two and three quarter movies go by and basically nothing really comes off until Lucas was like "shit I've got about 25 minutes of running time left here."

hit.

they weren't that good, but enjoyable. Of course anakin is a total whimp, but the special effects were pretty cool.

First one was too childish, second one was enjoyable but the love story was laughable, 3rd one had cool special effects but was otherwise retarded ("NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!").

Exactly then when anakin finally killed him youd be like DAMN, that kid has some skizzy, hes totally like gonna become vader.

Plus he fights like no other jedi so they could have had some ripper fight scenes.

But whatever. I reckon some angry megafan will eventually assasinate lucas

A huge hit!

I think all 3 of the prequels are great. Didnt find anything wrong with any off them. Dont know why people bag The Phantom Menace so much.

Sam Jackson dies:

Anakin: What have I done?
Palpatine: Go kill some children.
Anakin: Aight.

Thus why the third film fails on several levels.

Though I must say, "execute order 66" is a badass line.

did it bother any one else that anakin was distinctly a smaller man than vader?

Also that seen where he wakes up as vader sucks unbelievably and i can't even define what makes it bad.

Phantom Menace was boring as hell, but Attack Of The Clones and Revenge Of The Sith fit well into the mood of the original saga. They aren't spectacular, but if you think well, neither is the original trilogy.

What I'm trying to say is, the movies didn't change that much, it is WE who have grown up since 1983. In these 16 year gap between Return Of The Jedi and The Phantom Menace, we grew up, the film industry changed a lot. There's no point comparing the new trilogy to the old, we love the first trilogy because it make us relive childhood again, it brings good memories. Try finding someone who has never seen not even one SW movie, and show him/her the six movies, starting with ep1 all the way through ep6. I did this with my girlfriend and her brother, both of them thought ep4 and ep6 are boring compared to ep2 and ep3.

I voted hit. At least ep2 and ep3 made me remember being a kid in the early 80s watching the original trilogy.
