That old bastard has done it again. Now there's no point in watching a movie at the theatres ever again. Aliens!! There's fucking aliens. THis movie was extremely awesome.

I'm seeing it tonight, and have popped several boners at the thought. The only way it could be more awesome is if that Shia Leboeuf douche was replaced by a grown up Short Round (that little Asian kid from Temple of Doom) and if Sean Connery was back.

Slightly disappointed. I didn't think the plot was very developped, at all. The 3rd movie had the better ending, they should have left it.

Count me among the disappointed ones. There were some great, old school scenes (like the opening one), but then we get shit like Shia Leboeuf fighting communism with the help of... monkeys and a really, really dumb plot (even with reference to Temple of Doom, which ain't exactly the smartest of movies).

I was suppose to see this movie, but I couldnt make it. I plan on seeing it soon though.

Temple of Doom is unwatchable for me, that kid just ruins it.

Don't fucking mess with Short Round! He'll knife you!

Though the best scene in the movie is definitely the one where he tells Indy that he loves him and then a drugged up Indy punches him in the face. Hilarity.

Yeah, it was okay. Enjoyable but not as good as the old ones, methinks.

I thought the new Indiana Jones movie was great, right up there with the previous three.

Great plot, exciting, funny and still brings in a nostalgic feel.

There were some unanswered questions however, like there wasn't much detail given to the 19 years in chronological order since The Last Crusade. Only something 10 years before the time this movie was set in (1957) was mentioned.

One thing I didnt get was:

In The Last Crusade, didnt Henry Jones (Indy's dad) drink from the cup of christ to heal his gunshot wound? So, wasn't that suppose to mean that he now had a prolonged life, such as the knight from the crusade? In the latest movie, Henry Jones had passed away....

And i only just realised that Temple of Doom was set a year or so BEFORE Raiders of the Lost Ark....i cant remember, but was there any indication during TOD that it was a prequel to ROTLA?

Just the the year that is written on screen at the beginning of Temple of Doom- I believe TOD takes place in 1933 and Raiders in 1936.

The everlasting/prolonged life dealonly worked if you stayed in the tmple like the old knight. "That is the price of immortality" or some such. I'm sure they'd have had Sean Connery in the film if they could, but he declined the offer to come out of retirement.

Where was Sala? That's what I want to know!

Anyway I thought it was a great film. A few of the stunts were a bit too stupid even for an Indy film, I'm not keen on the idea of aliens being in it, and there were too many underdeveloped characters (really, what did Ray Winstone actually bring to the plot?) but still it was a great bit of nostalgia.
