I used to bench 350 when I went to the gym. I could get 450 up, but that was stupid. I probably couldn't pull off 350 now; it's been a while.

Does that not make sense?

Its a big difference between 350 and 450. If your maximum is 350, or if 350 feels quite heavy 450 is a long shot. and why didn't you try btw?

I'm 5'9" and weigh about 160 lbs. and my last max was 165 lbs. Bench is an overrated lift, though.

I can also leg press over 1,000 pounds, but that's not very bright. Especially if I wish to be able to stand up after two days. I used to bench 350lbs, but I could put up a max of 450lbs. And by max I mean a one-shot deal, just to see how high I could go. Pretty simple really.

I probably couldn't bench my own head if I needed to.

I'm a big fan of squats and cleans.

Or people who like being fit and healthy. It goes either way though.

On topic, I can never actually max out because I don't have enough weight or a bench.
