Post subject: World Of Warcraft: Who Plays?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 26, 2006 3:21 am
I thought there was a thread on this before? It's gone now, I guess. Anyway, anyone else play this game? Man, I love it. I haven't liked a video game this much in 15 years. Shit, I don't think I've played any game to its end in that time. Nothing ever hooked me, but this game rules!

Anyone else play?

I had a 60 hunter with an epic bow, and 4/8 giantstalker, and sold it for 115 dollars.

Yet, at $14.99 a month you likely paid far more. Now when the expansion comes out you'll want to play again! Haha. My friend just stopped playing, he had an Alliance character and gave me his password and username. I was able to take my Horde character, put an apple up for auction at 162 Gold and then bought it with his character. Fucking sweet.

Considering I was broke, that worked out well. Then I told his guild that I hated them all, and said "Horde fo' life, bitches!" and they fucking flipped! Hahaha. Sometimes kids take things a bit too seriously. You should have seen some of the things these kids (I assume) said. Hahaha.

i'm a huuuge warcraft(actually just entire Blizzard) fanboy but i really don't have the funds to pay for it every month. And since it's so addictive, it was likely i'd get bankrupt by it

I'm a Blizzard fanboy too...I can say without a doubt that both WoW, Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2 holds a place on my top FIVE best PC games of all time. I have a 60 hunter on Bladefist and a 30 warrior on Twisting Nether. But I'm a bit worried about the expansion...my computer sucks A LOT, I don't know if I will be able to play the expansion on it :?

Sadly enough, I'm also entangled by this massive game.
Playing on Scarshield legion with a tauren druid (female of course, cows are kewl). I've even put together a simple website for our guild so there are some positive and creative sides of the game.

Bwahahaha Blizzard likes cows, doesn't they?
By the way, are swedes infamous on Scarshield too? :) Bladefist is absolutely overpopulated with swedes and hearing swedish in general chat isn't uncommon (not popular among the non-swedes of course :P )

"There is no cow level".

No I have not seen a single one speak in swedish in the generalchat yet, but some finnish. Roleplaying people are more serious
I played on Ragnaros before and the population there is like 50% 14-year old swedish brats. It gets on your nerves after a while.

I don't have much time to play either. I've been playing since August, I have just one character at level 42. I had a friend start at the same times as I did and he was at 60 before I was at 30!

Man some people are insane...I remember when WoW was released, a guy in my school bought it on the same day and well...He and his brother took turns playing. They played non-stop for 3 fucking days!

About three weeks after the Scarshield Legion server can online, there were at least on level 60 character. Thats madness.

Well, this guy works with me, so it's not like he has tons of free time. Not only that, he just started playing this D&D game—he's into that D&D shit—and so it suits him better than WoW and he's letting his account expire on the 28th. As I mentioned earlier, he gave me his username and password so I could take his gold and weapons. No joke, his main character was a 60, but he had 8 other characters—Horde and Alliance—all between levels 15 and 30!! HOW?!?!

Nope, no transfers to this server. Just pure playtime :)

Fucking ridiculous! That's really crazy, but then again, when I was like 13 or 14 I would play a video game from 6am to like 3am and then repeat the whole process! Hahaha. And that was just shit like Dragon Warrior on the original NES! I can't imagine how great it would have been to be that young and have the games they have now!

Level 60 dwarf hunter on the bloodhoof eu server! But to tell u the truth I'm bored! Plus the alliance is full of 15 year olds who get you wiped in raid instances all the time! I mean c' mon, read your damn skills, how hard can it be!! Anywayz, I've created an alt undead priest on a pvp server, who I'm going to get to 60 veeeery slowly (I turned 60 with the dwarf in 2 months) as I wait for the expansion.

Needless to say that when age of conan comes out I'm switching to that!!

There's far less Horde on the Medivh server than Alliance. It's like a 4 to 1 difference. Some areas the chat can be a bit lame and annoying, especially when you're trying ask about something important, but overall it's not a bad server. I've heard stories about some others.

The one thing I wish the game had more of is rewards for exploration. You know, you're way up on a mountain and find a jewel or piece of armor, or just something. Remember those RPGs you'd play and you'd be in the forest or whatever and see a random twinkle, or just something on the ground? That's what I wish the game had more of.

Also, some rain would be nice. Haha.

Yeah I would also like to see some rewards for exploration, not just grinding instances over and over again to get that blue or epic item.

Rain and snow is coming in the next patch :P
