My job at the moment is so darn dull, so I'm using all this 'free time' to play with the internet. I saw a concept of a book called American Hair Metal, and wondered what I could find using my new found free time-

Here are the results-

Megadeth...Image
Poison........Image
Pantera.......Image
Stryper........Image
Whitesnake.Image

Ahh... Memories

Oh no...oh God no! [/Rhapsody's narrator] Seriously, there is a thread about this called "The most disgraceful display of hair metal faggotry" on the ruthlessreviews forum, and it pretty much gays up the internet about 1000000000% all on its own :P

How on earth could Megadeth be hair metal?!!

The rest of the pics are hilarious. Pantera's is disturbing.

Megadeth is the best out of those guys...

I can't believe Pantera once looked like that.

Those pre Cowboys from Hell Pantera albums are pretty cool if you like 80's cheesy rock / hair metal. The artwork looked like something that a 5th grader would design with crayons, but I dig all them....

Hes looking "fucking hostile" in that pic isnt he?

Mark, you could have put in so many maiden, slayer, metallica, and pretty much any deah metal bands from the 80's (none of whom are hair metal, but all of whom had huge freakin' hair!)

Yeah, Power Metal is a great album. Haven't heard the other three.

Same shirt.

Note: For the record, there is some Photoshop work going on there to make me look a bit more stunted and fat in the mid-section. That sheep was a birthday present. I swear.

Yeah, you try fitting into a shirt almost 20 years old that was kind of tight when you weighed 120lbs and now weigh 260lbs! I love that shirt, though. It was my first concert shirt ever. It's odd that I've kept it for so long, really.

 Yeah! It's funny how you wear one of those suckers each day when you're like 14/15 and it becomes your most important fashion statement.

 I had a Metallica shirt from '..And Justice' era and I like wore it virtually everyday. I refused to let my mum touch it, though she would bollock me for having it on all the time. I used to sponge off stains and deoderise that shirt every day! Suffice to say it was ruined by the time I was in college!

Nowadays it's like, oh, worn it for a day, into the wash it goes! Damn adulthood!

Hate to say this, but Metallica looks the coolest among all of them.

 I did try to use the gayest looking Metallica poodle picture I could find (Irony?). And the words Metallica and cool in the same sentence eh? Back when that picture was taken, I'd actually agree... Funny how a few duff releases change perspectives!
