here follows a very long rant nobody needs too read ( i mean it, it's poorly written):
the pass system is really screwed and so is the dribbling/taming system.
In front of the goal the pass system fucks up, often you'll have no to pass it to since your CF will stand still outside the box ( i play with two CFs on the wings and a CF in the middle (3 attackers), other times they won't tame the ball but run along with it and then essential give the ball to the opposite team. At freekicks the pass system is fucked up, 50 % the opposite team will get the ball because the only guy you could pass the ball to behind an opposite team member just as you were about to pass the ball to him. Very clever of him.
Furthermore, often your player will pass the ball to another player situated further away in a different direction from the guy you intended the pass, resulting in wasted chances and ball giveaways.
Dribbling is retarded too, you can be the fastest player on the field but even a retard with downs syndrom will catch up on you and then snatch the ball. The worst part is however, some times you pass a player a ball, and he'll run along with the ball for 3-5 meters without taming it properly and thus in many cases give the opposite team the ball as you dribble accross the sideline with the ball. Fucking retarded! It also happens often inside the box where your player dribbles accross the goal line along with the ball, despite one tries to pull him in the opposite direction several meters before. However, this mostly happens when he his under pressure from a opposite team member, but still...
Your goalie is retarded too. It doesn't matters how good your goalie is, a mediocre goalie is just as good as the best. He'll still fumble the ball, do stupid things, and can't save no shit.
Scores are retarded too, unless you score 3 goals with a one player or he makes a few assists, he'll get a crappy score. Even after 10 goals over half your team members will still get 5.5-6.0. My goalie has an average score of 5.8 after a season, despite he only let 5-8 goals in the net ( i'm good at with defense players, cuz the goalie suck, but even my defense players get crappy scores). So in the end only your attackers will get onto the top 5 rankings in their catagory, and their stats will grow more frequently than the rest of the team players, since the score determine the rate of growth.
Another thing that's retarded is the stats of the players. When you start the game all players are rather mediocre, even the players that are supposed to be send from God himself sucks. You have to play several seasons before any super duber players appear. How realistic is that? How about letting the superstars be fucking godly right away instead of waiting 3-4 seasons? The amount of superstars should be almost constant like in reality, not booming all of a sudden in the 4th or 5th season.
The commentators are retarded too. Shame stupid shit over and over again. Enough said about that.
and then we have the shots on goal, oh boy. In Pes6 it's almost easier to hit the post than the net. During freekicks your guy have to have a real good day along with 99 in shot power, acc. and curve before even considering shooting at goal. The goalkeeper will react just as the ball leaves your feet, despite the fact he shouldn't be able to even see the ball before it has passed the wall - this is on the top player difficult level, however - in Pes5 in was more realistic.
the last 300 matches i played with my own edited teams of demons, all had 99 in all stats, all abilties and was around 2 meters tall. But it changed absolutely nothing, the AI controlling the players you didn't control was still fucking retarded, still awful passes and receives, still crappy goal keeper, even worse driblings than before, less accurate less speed. For some reason C. Ronaldo was the best dribler in the game, he could also run faster that anyone else, even without having maxing out the required stats. Ppl can say whatever they want, all big mistakes in the game is not due to realism but due to bad programming
The funny thing is, the more players you have one the field at the same time with a red arrow pointing upwards ( really good condition), the worse they play - or rather, the better the opposite team plays. It often feels as if your players stats decreases.
I have several other issues with the game that truely annoys me during a match. But this will surfice for now. Fuck it! i'm glad i got rid of the game. I only wish i hadn't smashed the keypad on the left, cuz that was my only properly working keypad apparantly. My last keypad is shit too due to Pes6.
